  2. 2

    Stage 2

    Re-certification Application

Clients continuing their certification are processed in the same way as an initial certification application.

  3. 3

    Application Review

UPA LUK reviews the application until an agreement is issued in the contract document and a one-cycle audit plan is prepared.

    • Prepare the audit programme.
    • Reach an agreement with the client for re-certification.
    • Assign the audit team and issue an assignment letter.

    Audit Programme Implementation

    • A stage 1 audit is conducted when there are significant changes to the client's management system and/or business processes.
    • Based on the stage 1 audit results, the Team Leader prepares the plan and conducts the stage 2 audit.

    Attention

    Audit Results

If major nonconformities are not addressed before the certification period ends:

    • The client is not given a re-certification recommendation.
    • Certification is not extended after its validity period ends.
    • The client is informed and given an explanation of the consequences.
  7. 7

    Stage 7

    Decision Review

    • The re-certification audit results and audit-team verification are reviewed after compliance is confirmed.
    • The review results are submitted to the Certification Manager as the decision maker.
    • The client is informed of the review and verification results.

Remember the Due Date

The re-certification audit is communicated no later than three months before the certificate expires. Ensure that all major nonconformities are addressed before the certification expiry date.
